WHAT IS KUMA
Teaching, research and practical projects are based on methods from the humanities, cultural and social sciences, from hermeneutics to empiricism. The focus is always on practical relevance. Furthermore, intercultural approaches are fundamental, which ensure a consistent comparative approach in the teaching areas, research and practice areas and guarantee the connection to international standards.
KUMA is committed to
(1) support more professional competence in cultural policy and management and further qualification of cultural managers, young leadership, and professionals
(2) support the reform of traditional cultural institutions in favor of modern forms of cultural offers and mediation, efficient organizational structures, effective cultural management, and audience development
(3) strengthen long-term sustainable intercultural exchange, cross-sectorial and institutional cooperation.
WHAT WE DO
We mediate and network, advise and inform, develop and implement, research and analyze, and communicate together with our diverse team of experts as well as with a number of our trusted national and international partners.

- Curricular conception and implementation of teaching and further training programs such as “Cultural Management in Mongolia”. Qualification program for young executives

WHO WE ARE
KUMA Mongolia is supported and responsible for AMPMC and IKMW, both based in Berlin. Arts & Media Project Management & Consulting NGO (AMPMC)
represents the competence center “KUMA – Culture Management” officially in Mongolia within the sustainable cooperation with the
Institute for Culture and Media Industries (IKMW) in Berlin.
IKMW
manages also two established and successful academic competence centers such as the
Center for Audience Development (ZAD) and the BerlinMediaProfessionalSchool (BMPS). A broad portfolio of competences, experiences and efforts is bundled in these centers in order to master key challenges of the cultural sector und media industry comprehensively.
